Rice noodles, eh? Well, all I can say is yes please.

Preperation is simple, put rice noodles and both flavour sachets in a bowl with a cup and a half of boiling water, cover and leave for a few minutes.

On removal of the plate I used to cover the bowl, I was given an unrequested promise, in a thickly accented broken English cry of "I’ll be gentle!" and it’s true.

The colour is quite a plain beige, both noodles and soup.  And it’s obvious that no one is threatening you with anything other than a full belly and a warm feeling inside.

They really glisten, and it becomes obvious quickly that no small part of that glistening is provided by the globule of palm oil added as part of the preperation, they have a distinctly oily feel about them, but it comes along with a pleasant savoury flavour, the chicken soup base isn’t strongly flavoured, but it is quite pleasant, more a sort of a hint of flavour than some noodles which bash you in the tongue in an effort to hide their low quality.

Noodle toothfeel is interesting, they’re firm yet yielding, if you’ll forgive the term.

I really enjoy these noodles.

Rating: Noodles 3.5/5, soup 3.5/5. Overall 7/10.
